Barry Ritholtz has used up his lifetime allotment of “fascinating”.

Barry Ritholtz has used up his lifetime allotment of “fascinating”.

As Terry Gross continues to shit on the English language and supply generations of young liberal women cover for their use of “like” five times in each sentence:

“Are you, Like, saying, Like, that the world is, Like, no longer based on, Like, truth, but on Like something else entirely?”;

So Barry Ritholtz’s success on his podcast “Masters in Business” on Bloomberg radio is persuading nearly illiterate finance and money guys that they too can succeed on the air just using their unrefined regular New York Guy stunted vocabulary.

Barry, you cannot use the word “fascinating” anymore on your podcast or radio show with Bloomberg. Your supply ran out after your 100th episode and your 10,000th usage of the word. You don’t have any more left. You have to find some other words. If I hear you say fascinating one more time I’m going to take my iPhone and shove it up the ass of the nearest stockbroker I can find.

And your lifetime supply of “very fascinating” is zero, always was zero, and continues to be zero. Nobody needs to add very to fascinating. Fascinating stands alone as the next logical step from “very interesting”. It’s only you hayseeds from New York who somehow think they need to juice up already juiced words, like excellent and fascinating. Only a New Yorker would say, deep voice, “we have a very excellent” program prepared for you tonight. No! Nothing is Very Excellent” Barry. You can have a good program. You can have a very good program. And you can have an excellent program. You can’t have a very excellent program. I know this will come as a shock to you but excellent is already the end point. Something is good, very good, or excellent. There is no very excellent. There is no “whole entire”. Entire covers it.

Barry please don’t be defensive about this, just improve your speaking skills. You get great guests and you seem smart in an illiterate fish out of water way. Do what Annie Duke suggested in her interview with you and admit and evolve.
